These advanced technologies utilise various methods to Optimize Airflow and Air Expulsion through the base perforations.


As a result, the Air Expulsion alternates between areas with a more evenly distributed, gentle airflow and areas with a more concentrated, forceful expulsion.

  • 1. MATTRESS FABRIC AND MATERIALS

    The Mattress is constructed using 2 COLOUR

    FABRICS:

    Patient Side - Black

    Surface (Resting) Side: Purple

    • The Material has been tested and is non-reactive to a wide range of commonly used Cleaning and Disinfecting Products used in a Hospital.
    • The Construction of the Mattress and Materials used allows the Mattress to be Washed at the recommended Hospital Disinfecting Wash Cycle.

  • 2. HIGH FREQUENCY WELDED (HFW) CONSTRUCTION

    High Frequency Welding (HFW) is distinct from Heat Sealing.


    HFW is preferred for its ability to create a hermetically sealed bond, meaning the bond is so tight that it prevents the passage of air.


    High Frequency Welding (HFW) uses electromagnetic energy to permanently bond thermoplastic materials. This method offers several advantages over other construction techniques. For instance, HFW does not create needle holes, eliminating potential entry points for microorganisms.

  • 3. HFW MATTRESS CENTRAL MARKERS

    There are 4 Mattress Central Markers that pinpoint the Centre of the Mattress.


    Central Markers are instrumental in aiding Care Staff with several mattress-related tasks, such as:

    • Determining the appropriate mattress size for the Patient
    • Assisting in the placement of the mattress beneath the Patient
    • Facilitating transfers, particularly onto narrower surfaces
    • Positioning the mattress on the bed or other resting surfaces during and post-transfers

  • 4. PATIENT SECURITY STRAPS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - PSSMS

    PSSMS - Patient Security Straps Management System


    The Patient Security Straps Management System (PSSMS) is an innovative solution designed to enhance patient safety and convenience. This system includes:


    • Detachable Patient Security Straps: Easily attachable and removable for quick use.
    • Mattress Link Straps: Securely attach the security straps to the mattress.
    • Detachable Pouch Sleeve: Conveniently store the security straps when not in use.

    The PSSMS effectively addresses several issues associated with permanently fixed patient security straps, such as:

    • Interference with Equipment
    • Entanglement with Bed and Patient Trolley (Stretcher) Side Rails
    • Trip Hazards
    • Infection Control Risks

  • 5. MATTRESS HANDLES

    The Mattress Handles are crafted from a Protective, Durable Film that is textured and non-slip, providing a grainy feel for enhanced grip. 


    The Handles are High-Frequency Welded (HFW), eliminating the need for sewing in their construction or attachment to the mattress.

    • Bright and Color-Coded: The Handles exhibit a bright glow and are color-coded to correspond with the mattress size, ensuring easy identification.
