The Combination of HF WELDING and SELF SEALING prevents any Ingress of Fluids and Contaminants.
The Unique and Patented Technology employed in the manufacture and contruction of ATM-Airpod Air Mattress enables the Entire Mattress to be Sealed. No other Lateral Transfer Air Mattress in the World offers this Technology.
HF (High Frequency) WELDING
The ATM-Airpod is entirely constructed by HF WELDING. As such, the ATM-Airpod is HERMATICALLY SEALED - that is the construction is so tightly or perfectly fitting so as to exclude the passage of air.
Sometimes HF Welding is confused with Heat Sealing. This is not the same.
SELF SEALING AIRPODS
The Airpods in the Airpod Air Mattress are self sealing. They close on their own on deflation. This is because of the pressure gradients created within the Main Chamber of the Air Mattress.
RAPID DRYING
As a result of the combination of High Frequency Welding, Self Sealing and Advanced Material Technology, the Airpod Air Mattress is RAPID DRYING (depending on external environmental conditions for example Humidity).
Because there is no Ingress of Fluids and Contaminants, the Internal Construction of the Airpod Air Mattress is entirely dry. The Airpod can be laundered and/or washed/sluiced down quickly and easily.
To help speed and assist with the Drying Process, the excess surface water collected on the Surface and Base of the Airpod Air Mattress, can be wiped down quickly and easily with absorbent disposable towels.
This process will also increase the longevity of the product and improve the product recycling processes.

The Only Air Mattress that can be Laundered at the Recommended Hospital Disinfection Wash Cycle.
Commercial and In-house Institutional Laundries
Washing: 74 ± 3 °C or 165 ± 5 °F
Drying cycle: Tumble dry - low heat 50°C or 122°F
NB: Excessive Commercial Washing and Drying will substantially decrease the longevity of the ATM-Airpod Air Mattress. To increase and maintain the longevity of the Product, it is recommended that the product is Air or Drip Dried.
Disinfecting Wipes
The materials and fabrics used in the manufacture of the ATM-Airpod Air Mattress have been tested and designed so that they can be used safely with most commonly used Hospital Disinfecting Wipes.
Using Household Bleach as a Disinfectant
In the USA, the CDC - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - one of the recommended disinfectants to kill many of the pathogens of most concern to healthcare facilities, is common Household
Bleach - usually 5.25% or 6.00% sodium hypochlorite diluted in water at 1:10 or 1:100.
